You cannot do it instantly, and depending on your genetics / body type results are very individual. Abdominal muscles are only visable when body fat is stripped off.
Diet is the most important thing in acheiving a six pack. 1 million crunches a day will not be any good if you have a poor diet. cruches and ab work outs only strengthen the muscles and do not result in pure definition.
Keep your diet strict (be honest), keep a diary of what you eat, whrn you eat it, how you look, how you feel. Doing this will help you identify progress as it is a long progress.
Also if you are trying to bulk up and gain muscle it is almost imposable to bulk up and strip fat.
Finally unless you are a competative bodybuilder / model you dont need to have a six pack all year round. Proportion and symmetry of muscle looks great when combined with a flat stomach.
The key is to enjoy training and dont be defeatest if you don not become Arnie over night!

Go to the nearest liquor store and buy it. Just kidding. Keep up the hard work and it will happen. You can't build muscle over night! It's not all about how ya look. Quit being so judgmental about yourself!

Sit ups won't help. You already have the muscle, you just can't see it. Lose that layer of fat (through diet and cardio) and you will be able to see it.
