I took my son to go get a hair cut , now there was this man he was getting his face shaved but the barber put a hot steamy towel on his face now that gotta burn but what does that do to ur face?

the hot towel doesnt burn. plus it is used to soften the skin and the hair on the face so that they dont get razor burn and so they get a closer shave. like when you shave your legs in the shower the steam makes the hair softer and moisturizes your legs at the same time. some guys shave in the shower as well for that reason.

I believe the hot towel makes the hairs softer and open up the pores.

It's not so hot as to be intolerable. It cools off quickly. It's to get the facal hairs ready to be shaven.

It soothes your skin and prevents shave bumps.
