funny the same thing is happening with my friend.... I just told the guy off.... and it kinda made him think... and now he is not as clingy.... all i said was "YOUR CLINGY... and MOST GIRLS HATE IT" With guys you have to be blunt... otherwise they will not understand

Let him know that you think he smothering you. Tell him that you like being with him but sometimes you just want to hang out with the girls. If he doesn't understand then he has control issues.

tell him you are going to spend time with your friends and you will call him when you are done or tomorrow. there is no beating around the bush with this one just let him know that you can't spend time with him right now. if he likes you that much he has no choice but to understand.

You need to decide if you're going to be his doormat, or if you're going to be upfront with him and set limits. If you can't negotiate simple things like "I need this time away from you", perhaps you're not mature enough to be in a relationship at all.

Tell him to go to the movies with his friends. Or tell him to go to a football game

You are too young to have a BF... You need to grow up more. You need to mature more... Just Dump him

Set up some guidelines with him. If he doesn't understand that you need your space to spend time with your girls, then you don't need him.

Inform him of your boundaries, and if he does not respect them, then find some one who will!
