How do I clean a ceramic flat iron?

To clean the plates, I use this stuff called Goo Gone on a cotton ball, then wipe the plates with a wet paper towel, then dry the plates with a paper towel. In stead of Goo Gone you can use rubbing alchohol.

I just wipe mine down with water and a paper towel really well, that's about it.

water and shampoo and dry it with the blow dryer!
