take one of her invitations and have it folded into a crane (origami)and have it framed in a shadow box (you can get on at any craft store for under 10$). The crane symolizes a long union, because they mate for life, and it being their invitation will symbolize their life long union.

Try creating a scrapbook. You can really make this fit your budget because the only materials that are completely necessary are photos and your own words, thoughts, and feelings. You can create a scrapbook chronicling her engagement and wedding planning process, a wedding scrapbook (but you'd have to give this to her after the wedding), a scrapbook dedicated to her and her fiance, or even one dedicated to the two of you as sisters from early on until now. Gather a bunch of photos, pretty papers, and an album. You can get basic scrapbooking supplies at any local craft store and discount stores such as Target as well. Often times you can get all of the supplies in one easy to use kit for $20 and less. Really though, you could create one for even less than that with a little bit of creativity. Look around online for quotes and poems to include, but most importantly, put your thoughts, memories, wishes, and hopes. It really ends up being a great memory and gift. :) If you want some ideas check out this romantic scrapbook guide if you want to create one about her and her future husband or their wedding: http://www.romancestuck.com/love-crafts/scrapbookintro.htm

If it was my brother, and I was getting married he would get me something rude. Like glow in the dark items, and handcuffs..which are fun, what you asked was for a nice and thoughtful gift. Do you want a gift for the couple? One that they would share...if so I would go with a photograph album. Hobby stores, Target, or Walmart have very beautiful ones that won't break your wallet. I was just on-line with Target and they have a lot to choose from under $20. Stay out of the mall.

Since, Christmas is close how about a Christmas ornament that say "Our first Christmas together." Hallmark has beautiful ones, Walmart has one for $7 but it's not all that pretty. You will have to go to the mall after all to go to Hallmark. But that would be a practical gift, and every Christmas they can remember their wedding day. You might even could find on to have engraved with their wedding day. I like that idea.

God bless us all..............

Frame her wedding invitation for her. TJ Max has really neat frames that are not expensive and will look great with wedding invites in them. If it an invite that has two pages arrange two invitations together so both pages can be read. This is a cool gift because so many people are getting really pretty invitations to send out so why not have a unique way to display them. I done this and everyone has really loved them.

Maybe something more sentimental than expensive, especially if you are close. Start out by getting a nice card, or even a blank one that is pretty if you can convey your thoughts well about how happy you are for her and how much you will miss having her around and how you're glad she's your sister, etc. At some bookstores, especially Christian bookstores, you may find something nice she can cherish. Or, if you have the time, you may find something in a thrift shop or on eBay.

Find a great picture of either you and her or better yet her and her soon-to-be husband, such as when they were first going out, and frame it. Put a little note on the back of the frame and maybe you can write her a poem. That means more than a crock pot. Have fun!

sometimes the best gift is something that strictly comes from the heart maybe you have something from a family member no longer with you that she has always admired, is there something that you would think she would like most of all maybe you have something of your own that she admires think about something that maybe you can make her that wont cost a lot good luck to you

Get her a picture of you and her together and frame it and give it to her. She will be happy and will think about the good times you two spent together

Find a picture of the two of you as kids and buy a pic frame and give it to her. The sentiments of it will say it all for you.
