my mum still says " never scold or be scolded in the morning, it set the tone for the day". The only probelm is I can't find that link to my belief searching process.
Do you have any suggestion?

I was meant to say "do you have your own sayings or suggestion", not asking you guys to suggest mine.

practice what ye preach ye preachers; would rather see a good sermon than hear one; he who is without sin cast the first stone; those who live in glass houses should not throw bricks; do unto others as you would have them do unto you are a few.

I've never heard that expression! But in the Christian faith (I don't know what religion you are in, so I can only use the analogy from my own set of beliefs), God wants us to think on positive things.

There is a verse in the Bible which comes to mind, that MY mom always said: whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are of good report, think on these things.

I think your mama was pretty wise. She wanted you to be kind and not think critically of others.

My mother used to say " my heart bleeds peanut butter for you" among other things. I don't think that they formed any part of my religious belief or became superstitions of mine. Parents say all kinds of little things to their kids and what it becomes is part of the family and it created memories for the children.

Considering my mom speaks nothing of church or anythings of that sort, I don't take anything she says to heart about my faith, and I have no superstitions.

And I would say about your mom, just feel blessed to have had someone care for you enough to tell you that.

I don't think there is a religion based on that, we chose how to react to each situation
