Hey. I colored my hair yesterday but it didn't come out in the right shade. It's wasn't a permanent color. It would only last through 28 washes. I wan't to re-color my hair today. The coloring I would be using is a shade darker and it will only last through 28 washings also. Is this safe for my hair? Thanks.

Yes you can color it again. Be careful using chemicals on top of chemicals. Because you are going a darker shade and because you are not using a permanent color it only stains your hair shaft. But it is in most cases, very wise not to re-apply hair color over any other chemical treatment that soon after the first application. Also extra conditioning helps on overworked hair.

Most people will tell you not to dye it too soo which is 'really' true. How ever if that is all you have done to your hair so far you really should be ok. If you are going to dye your hair again then be sure to get yourself a hot oil treatment and use a Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner when you wash your hair. A leave in conditioner would be fabu too. Even if you just use a conditioner let it sit in your hair with a warm towel for 5-15 min then rinse with cool water. This will lock the conditioner in!

I would wait for at least a couple of days. Give your hair some time to relax. Use a hot oil treatment to make sure your hair doesn't get chemically burnt, then try a different shade later.

You are fine to color again as long as you are going darker. It is really only staining your hair. Just use some good conditioner and do not wash your hair everyday. It should be fine. Good Luck!!

yes it is it depends on the texture of ur hair and what chemicals are in the dye but just rewash ur hair then put in the dye it might be darker if thats what ur going for but when u put in the dye put a bag on your head for about 15 minutes so that u can get the tint that u want Good Luck

If it is actually not permanent probably...call the help line on box so you don't turn your hair green or some other weird color.

If your hair is fine, like mine, you should wait. Also depends on how much you dye it.

If it's thicker, you can dye it right away. My friends do it all the time. Wish I could.

too soon. Too many chemicals in your hair may make it feel like straw at best and fall out or break at worst

even though its not permananet, i would wait a couple of days before redying it, because of all the chemicals...
let your hair restore itself before you put more color on it (it would probably look healthier anyways)
hope this helps!
