Your vacuum cleaner draws way to much power to use a converter.

You have to convert your 220 motor to a 110V one. Do this by taking it to a Kirby dealer and have a new motor installed, or find a 2nd hand Kirby in the US. I see these at Thrift stores, like Goodwill often.
