Is it possible to not believe in luv at firstsight and then REALLY fall in love with them in like three weeks?

i have always made fun of people of said they love someone even if it had been like 2 or 3 months. i just thought it was too soon and stupid. but, i met my boyfriend three weeks ago and i havent told him this because i know it would scare him and i think it's soooo stupid. but i know that i love him. he's the one i've been looking for, for a long time. is this possible? can this really be love? and if so, am i going crazy for having feelings like this?
