WONDERFUL THINGS!...would happen and, this is the good part, HAVE happened!

Many towns have "Rescue Missions" which help homeless and alcoholics spiritually and with material needs. They sometimes have sister ministries which provide shelter (hidden) and other services for battered women and their children. Christians from a variety of churches all over town join together to collect money and food (even business clothes and makeup for women learning to take care of selves without a man) volunteer with housekeeping/food service/worship/occupational training.

Hundreds, maybe thousands, of local Christian assemblies have dropped the denominational label, and simply call themselves "nondenominational" or "community" churches. There, they are too busy "majoring on the majors" to waste too much time "minoring on the minors." I'll bet there are at least a couple of those listed in your local phonebook.

National and international Gatherings/ministries that have a wide diversity of Bible-believing Christians in membership and even in leadership include: Community Bible Studies, ECT (Evangelicals and Catholics Together), Campus Crusade for Christ and Navigators.

When Billy Graham held (before Parkinson's slowed him down) a crusade in a city, local Christians from many denominations (including Catholics) worked together to handle all the details involving a huge event like this (venue, parking, publicity).

Here is a link to a profile put together by MinistryWatch (keeping ministries accountable for how they use contributions) for Christian Relief Fund, a nondenominational agency that sponsors children and provides aid internationally:

Jim, you must have had a real bad experience with religion. That is why I rely on faith, not religion. Religion is man's way of trying to explain God, which is similar to a baby trying to explain why there is a funny smell and his bottom is wet. All I know for sure is that there is more to this than just this life. I also know that if I keep the faith, and have patience, I will have all of the answers that religion fails to provide. If I am wrong, I guess I won't know the difference when I die, but I prefer to believe there is life in another form after death. If you are just trying to make fun of Christians by your questions, it won't work, they are already brainwashed beyond your making any difference. If you are looking for answers, seek them through prayer, which is how communication with the spirit world is accomplished. Otherwise, professional help may be your only recourse.
