You know, after observing all that's happening around me, I have formed a theory.

Good people, are envied and often hated by bad people around them, and being of a good nature, they are more susceptile to being affected by "evil eye" ( why exactly do you say touch wood?) as compared to bad ppl ( just as babies are more likely to catch an infection, cos their immune systems are not strong enough), who are themselves evil, besides being disliked by others around them.

So bad people are less affected by Evil thoughts and bad wishes directed at them, So they prosper, while good people face troubles in life.

This is definently a good question, and I'm not God, so I know that I can't answer it as well as he can.
I believe that without suffering, the world would be almost indifferent to heaven. Suffering brings us "back to earth" so that, when we die, we will fully appreciate the heaven that God has given us.
God does not lay anything down upon us that he knows that we (with him) cannot handle. I think that that's comforting. It kinda shows that maybe it's the strong ones that God puts the suffering to because he trusts that they can handle it. At least we have something to look forward to when the suffering is all over.

God only bothers to test the good.
The harshness you now feel will make you even stronger.
It is a bit like physical exercise.
They do say 'no pain - no gain'.
This belief has allowed me to overcome many harsh situations.

My mom always told me that God only gives you what you can handle, if you are going through tough times and it seems like God is being harsh to you, He must know that you are really strong and will learn a great deal from your hardships.

So change yr god then. I always thought God was supposed to be loving, kind, forgiving, why have a god who is harsh?

you will find god has got nothing to do with harshness, but the choices we may make has a much bigger impact on our lives,
and this could be just a run of bad luck, we are all in the same boat.

Because we are not following his Path in life, he gave us free will after Eve ate the forbidden fruit and therefore we must also accept that we bring a great deal of the Worlds suffering upon ourselves

what do you mean by good people?
god loves everyone, but the only true good people are the ones who believe in his word.
if you do believe in his word, then hes probably putting you through trials/tribulations.
hes gonna make you the person he wants you to be.

I always think that too. If there is a God maybe he is testing us to see if we will turn to the dark side. Or he doesn't exist. I'll send you a text when I get there and tell you what he says (or what satan tells me)
