you should convert the AVI format to MPG,WMV,DAT,...
you can do that with AVS video convertor software.
after converstion you can burn the CD easily.

Load NeroVisionExpress
Add the AVI Video files to the compilation.
goto 'Add Video Files'
select your Videos

Nero will convert them to VCD Format automatically, before it goes to burn them to disc. All you need is the AVI Codec installed in your system. (If your computer can play them, it can burn them) AVI = Audio Video Interchange. If you do not see your AVI's make sure 'File Type' is set to 'All supported formats'

You'll beable to fit about 5 or 6 Videos, 25mins long, on a 700MB CDR in VCD Format.

VCD has ruffly the same quality as a VHS.
