Try running a ScanDisk and Defrag. See if the fix. Then you can try the next step.
Start > Run > (type) msconfig > Startup Tab.
What this seems to me is a Registry File has become corrupted and in Startup you will see all the programs with a check beside them? Try unchecking a few and Reboot. See when this clears the Popup and you can narrow it down to the Program that giving you trouble. You may have a lot of stuff starting when you Boot. Another way that may work is just go through you programs trying to start them and see which one give you a Popup. Then Delete the Program and Re-Install. This how I do it, may be a better way, I not a Computer Guru, but, have fixed my own in time.

It happens if you have deleted the program but you did not use the add/remove utility under the control panel. If this is the case, then you will get all kinds of errors.
Reinstall the offending program and then use add/remove.
Or, download registry cleaner (google it) and get rid of unused registry entries. Norton Utilities, if you have it, also will do this for you.
It is not a serious error to get this error message, but it can be a nag. If you can live with it, just ignore the message.
Formatting is not an option. Use it only if you are really annoyed.
If you use 'regedit' under run program, then you may wreck the computer if you do not know what you are doing.
Lastly: you can try this: Start ->run->type 'msconfig' -> click on startup tab. The programs you do not want to load during power on, uncheck and it will not give you that trouble or error message during boot up time.

The message is telling you there is an error in your registry. The registry contains lots of information such as file locations, preferences, and other data. Something is telling your computer to find some information, but it is unable to.
If it is giving you any idea of what data it is looking for, you could try reinstalling the software the date relates to. That should sort out the registry.
If your only issue is that it displays that message once when starting you comp, you could just ignore it. Formatting you computer would sort it out, but seems a bit extreme if theres no real problems.
