I'm not going to swear that this is the weapons system your looking for and i am not even sure if is still being used but the military had a turret mounted missile system firing the stinger backed up with a .50 caliber machine gun and i believe it was called the Avenger it had I/R and optical sights I read about it sometime ago in a Popular Science magazine in the late 80s or 90s

Its simply a Humvee with a TOW (Tube-launched Optically-tracked Wire-guided) missile launcher.

It can be outfitted with a variety of other weapons systems for example:

- Stingers; (thus becoming an Avenger Humvee, with 8 missiles plus a 20mm rotary cannon)

- AMRAAM; (thus becoming a SHORAD Humvee, or SHOrt RAnge Defence, an Army modification)

right here in the united kingdom there is not any such licence, i've got had a pair of classic military autos. I had an Austin K9, a Bedford RL fire engine and an ex RAF group bus. i'm unsure the place you reside, or what the guidelines are yet with the present financial climate i might assume that the producer may be chuffed to sell you a protection tension spec vehicle (on account that they are allowed to be privately owned whilst 2d hand I see no rationalization why not whilst new - except there is a few regulation approximately it there). of course you does not have the skill to have weapons, protection tension markings or protection tension extensive style plates yet in all different respects it is only yet another vehicle. in the united kingdom it is not unlawful to very own a tank see you later using fact the gun(s) have been permenently disabled - they generally fill the barrel with brass - i understand there's a place close to Chichester that sells them each and every each and every now and then (or there replaced into 15 years in the past). we've fans rallies right here the place all human beings is going with their autos.

The M998 is the baseline vehicle for the M998 series of 1 1/4-ton trucks, which are known as the HMMWV vehicles. The HMMWV provides a variety of wheeled vehicle platforms. These are cargo/troop carrier, armament carrier, TOW missile system carrier, shelter carrier and two ambulance variants (2- and 4-litter). The HMMWV will also be the prime mover for the AN/TRC-170 Radio Digital Terminal and the Pedestal Mounted Stinger System.
