When you think that you are ready to spend your entire life with th person you love.

I liked the fact that we got engaged on our own terms and aroun no holidays, this way it was our day only and special to us only. My favorite thing about our engagement was it was Friday, August 13. I've had tons of good luck with Fridays the 13 personally. My hubby took me to the park we went to hang out at as friends to propose, very sweet and sentimental. So if you guys started dating like March 21, propose on that day, or something.

When you're prepared to start spending a lot of money on down payments and deposits. As soon as I got engaged, my mom whisked me out to a bridal dress store and in two days found the dress and had to put a $200 deposit down. Then we met with the hotel where our guests would be staying and where the reception would be held and had to put down a $600 deposit to hold the place. But, having a long engagementd is fine to if that's what you plan, just make sure that when you're ready to start planning the actual wedding and such, make sure you research everything, how much it is going to cost so you're prepared to save up as you go, and assume at least $3000 more than what you quoted yourself. My parents helped pay for the wedding, and when I initally quoted $12500, it ended up being $14750. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

There's no such thing as an ideal time. As long as you both love each other and are prepared to do anything for each other and will stay loyal for the rest of your lives, then who cares what other people think?

I think 2 years is pretty good. Most blokes seem to loose intrerest after about 3 years and you should live with the person first for a while.

when you can deal with all the problems that come with it. Marriage is a commitment for life, and should not be done more than once. Marriage is for two people who know how to deal with just the smallest of problems. If the person is sick for instance. dont nag him or her to do something for you. Marriage is a 50/50 partnership. If receive love you should give love, if you give love you should receive it back. Love is inconditional. If you learned as much as you can about life in general. Marrage... UNTIL DEATH DO YOU PART...............
