okay. last night my mom asked me a really serious question.
she asked me ''what would i do if something were to happen to her, and caused for polices to come to my house. [something really serious.]
and i didnt have my makeup on at the time, what would i do.'' she asks me this because she knows i ALWAYS wear makeup. she doesnt really know how i 'really' look. but i couldnt answer her question! in my mind i was thinking of quickly going to put my makeup on fast before they came even though it was a real serious situation!i feel dumb. do i need help?

You might not believe this but I don't think you really would have stopped to put on make-up. You only answered that way because you were not in the real situation and you were free to worry about the make-up. (and yes, I do think you should try to get over the make-up compulsion!) But I think when something serious happens all bets are off and you focus on the serious situation.
I was roused from sleep in the middle of the night once by the sound of someone kicking in my front door. Only later did I think "Boy I'm glad I had pajama shorts and shirt on!" (because usually I don't). When 4 police officers were searching my home for evidence (I had screamed when he kicked the bedroom door down and he had fled - apparently a burglar who thought that no one was home) and I was sitting in a chair in shock and trying to answer their questions I had no thought about how very weird I looked even at that -- big baggy shorts and shirt and that lovely bed-head and so on. But I wondered later if I hadn't had clothes on, if I would have had the presence of mind to put something on in those brief moments between the fleeing of the burglar and the arrival of the police.

yes. to think that you need makeup on your face in order to be presentable to the public is pathetic. You are a victim of a male dominated patriarchal society that uses every tool in its reach to sell you on the idea that you are not an attractive girl/woman if you don't match up to a popluarized image of what a woman should look like. Women as a rule wear way too much makeup. An observer should never notice the makeup. If the observer notices a woman's makeup in the first five minutes together, then the woman is wearing way too much. Get help before you go through life lookikng like Tammy Fay and get help before you completely convince yourself that you have nothing to offer if you are not wearing makeup.

You need to get your priorities straight. First of all, learn to like yourself for who you are underneath the makeup. In a crisis situation, makeup should be the last thing on your mind.

If the police were to come... I'd worry about make-up
If the ambulance were to come... Id worry about hygiene and clean underwear.
I'd say you are just fine as long as the second case scenario is taken into consideration along with the first.
You can't think about one, without thinking about the other.

Your looks should never come before the welfare of your friends and family. From some of your questions, it sounds as if you are preoccupied with the way you look without your make-up. You need to relax. There are plenty of people out there who don't look good without their make-up, but they still function. How will you ever get married if you won't let anyone see you without your make-up?

no you need to stop wearing make up ,beauty is from the inside and exstended makeup wear is unhealthy to your skin and in the long run your face is going to be real ugly, you think you need it now ,later you will have to fill in cradles in your face, i say, slack before you lack,
