He's probably embarrassed! Do you hang out by his friends? If so you ain't "all that" or he would be proud to be with ya!

I dated a guy who would hold my hand---until he saw an attractive woman---and then he would drop it. It's a sign that he wanted the other woman to think that he was available. I suspect the same thing applies to how you are being treated. If your friend really respected you and wanted to be with you then he shouldn't have a problem holding your hand in a public place.

I don't hold my boyfriends hand, cause I don't feel like it. He's always grabbing my hand as soon as we're in "public", and he says it's his way of showing me affection, but I feel it's his way of marking his territory! ( guess that's better than him lifting a leg and peeing on me), BUT I don't like it for the fact our hands don't hold right. Knowing this, I know he's not the right person for me. But until I get the weebee jeebies at me full force, I'll put up with it tell then.

Did you try asking him? I'm sorry to inform you of this but men are emotionally inferior to women. We don't like that wishy washy googley eyes she's with me attitude. You know exactly what we want, we are as simple as they come. Unfortunately "women" have to burden the responsibility of the relationship and manage everything about it. If you really figure this one out he will move the world for you and do anything to make you happy. Your task is to figure out what it is you are doing that is not working and don't do it. Like I said Sorry, but try it.

time, time, time. wait, wait, wait. it is a fast world out there -- the Internet, the computer, the music, the t.v., the radio, the downloads etc. but in terms of human spirit and feelings -- it takes time. From time memorial up to the present day -- feelings, love, friendship -- has not changed much. it simply needs time and you have to be patient. good luck to both.

Some guys get embarrassed by public displays of affection. Talke to him about what his is comfortable with, he may loosen up if you work with him a little.

His hands may sweat a lot and he does not want you to feel his clammy hands.
