My Grandmother Died for the third time.
My dog took my keys and stole my car.
My mom is sick and I need to stay home and take care of her.
Eagles finally won a game and I stayed home to peruse Yahoo in celebration.
I waited for the school bus on the wrong corner again!

For being late:
i missed my bus/ my bus came late/the teacher let me out of class late/i was in the bathroom/i was talking to a teacher
For skipping:
Family Emergency/I felt sick/i hurt myself/i got called to the office
