These words are used a lot in the English Language but they all originated from a specific language. What Language is that?

Cookie = koekje, from cake
Boss = baas, master or foreman
Santa Claus = Sinter Klaus, or Saint Nicholas

I would go with German since I recognize some from having studied it (like cookies coming from Kuchen). So if they are all from the same language I would say German.

we know languages come from the middle east...so it can be arabian, hebrew, nicroitic..
