I've been thru this before so maybe i should have learned~but this guy seemed different, has daughters like me~started out by being 'honest', then telling me on the phone that i am his soulmate and after i talked with him for a few weeks, he wanted either to move near me or me move nearer to him.All this love stuff.He told me he has stopped looking for another woman becuz he's found wat he wanted.Ha! So the only way i can catch these people, i made a fake profile and added him and he went after the other woman~not like he talks to me but as a friend. I think I just wrote out my own answer here, huh? Another freakin LOSER!!!! Please be kind and help me make sense. I wasted 4 yrs with another internet loser.Why do people do this?? Why hurt people??

hi diecast did same thing you did im 24 know met an older guy on the net back in2000 we talk on the phone every day he has helped me threw a lot of lifes ups and downs he has become my best friend sounds crazy but over the last6 years i have fallen in love with him...he tells me he loves me also ..BUT..he is a player i too made a new profile and he hit on it,,,people come on the net cuz there lonley hoping to find that special one...all it does is leave us confused and heartbroke...men like to play these games(some women do too) it gives them a sense of power ..its a game to them..some people are just cruel..or just cant be faithful..the internet sadly is full of players lossers and lonley people..its a playground for vultures that like to pray on the lonley and sad....hope this helps and huggs .cuz ive been right were you are.

They do it because it is all a game to them. They may also do it because they are immature. He may have talked to the "other" woman as sort of a back up, in case things didn't work out with you. A lot of people use the term soul mate WAY too loosely.
