any color except white or black.... white is for the bride and black is for a funeral - if you want to get technical you can ask what color the wedding party is wearing so you don't wear the same color but that's not done very often.. it's usually just appropriate to not wear white or black

Ooh, ooh I have the answer!
Well, it really depends on who you are and the season.
During fall, subdued colors such as maroons and golds are great for weddings, nothing that will outshine the bride.
In Spring, Pastels are a fashion classic, they don't clash with the colors of the wedding, nor with the bride.
In Winter, I prefer light blues and purples (cool colors on the color scale including green, blue, and purple). Don't think with the same analogy as winter snow=white, my outfit to the wedding will= white also. Never white to outshine the bride!!
In the summer, warm colors on the color scale (red, orange, yellow) are a perfect fit.
Black is a great color too, but don't put on too much of this color-you'll look like you're heading to the father of the bride's funeral!! :)
Remember, nothing too revealing or to "look-at-me". This sacred event is about the bride and the groom!!
Have fun at the wedding!

Go with light colors, sky blue, pink, yellow, a very light green, whatever you feel like wearing. Something flowery usually works. Just don't wear white or black. Off white is OK though. Have fun at the wedding.

Well for me, it depends on the season. If it's a summer wedding I would prefer to wear lighter colors like cream, light blue, pink or lavender. But during the colder months I would probably wear more earth tone colors like reds, browns or even black.

depends on when and where the occasion is! if it's a night wedding, most women like to wear their little black cocktail dress. this is not disrespectful (some people think black should only be worn at a funeral). but any color that is flattering to the woman's body is perfect. why are you asking this anyway? do you object to what someone wore to your wedding?

Well, you should choose what suits you best, but if the wedding is during the day, then you should wear light colored dresses, if it is at night, then you can wear darker shades.

Choose something that works for the season, something that works with your body type (if you're picking something with a pattern, choose carefully), PLEASE no white and PLEASE no black. I know people say it's ok to wear black dresses to weddings, but I just can't get over it. LOL It's like you're sitting there going, 'I hate the people getting married, and I'm wearing my black dress because I'm mouring their union' or something. And I have to say too, those really flashy fabrics (the metallic BRIGHT ones) are also kind of unattractive usually ...

I think any color except white/cream is okay. Leave that one for the bride. It's HER day. Also, if you're immediate family, I'd stay away from black as the bride or groom may feel that you're unhappy about the union.
