Hi
First thing if it is still wet dab area with towels to absorb as much as possible.

If the urine stain is brown then it is a sticky residue problem. I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pouring water on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time to remove the sticky residue. If the stain may comes back in a few days you may have to do this a few times. If the stain is still visible than use a little carpet spotter on it.

If it has gone yellow then it is a PH problem. You can try using vinegar (one part vinegar to five parts water) to see if you can remove the stain. Sometime urine stains cannot be removed.

Some people have really gone wild for that Oxy Clean stuff in a blue container. They think it works great for everything. I also think it works really well. I haven't used it for my pets but I have for grease and dirt and it worked really well.

It's really important that you get the urine smell out of the carpet or some animals will continue to soil the carpet in that area because it smells like urine. If you can continue to smell it even after the stain is gone, you might try rubbing alcohol or a vinegar solution so it will eliminate the stain.

Try the Natures Miracle first. follow the directions to the letter.

If that doesn't do it go to an Aerus store (formally Eletrolux) they have what they call a "carpet medic kit" it has every type of stain remover you could imagine that are nontoxic.

A good dry foam carpet shampoo will work as well, just use it half strength and scrub. After it dries you just vacuum up the crystals and the stain.

Sometimes difficult but generally good luck with some of that spray stuff you get at Walmart's.. spray for getting rid of pet stains, etc.., BUT. here is what I do to make it more effective.. I spray the area.. rub it in lightly with my hand.. spray some more and then I place a soft cotton cloth(absorbant cloth) on top of the stain and then put a heavy, FLAT surfaced item(I just happened to use a table top that I can take off easily.. made of stone) and leave it on top of the cloth for a few hours.. then remove the stone top and cloth and that generally gets rid of most or all of the stain.. the cloth absorbs the stain.

Woolite Pet Stain Remover works well for me. The Arm & Hammer powder for pet odors works pretty good for the smell.
