Do you have an 'alter' in your home? If so what is on this 'alter' and what does each item mean to you? Thanks.

A few - little places with a candle and picture here, maybe a knife and a bowl there. Looks like regular decor but means something to me.

Of a kind. There's a vase that I try to keep fresh flowers in; a couple of incense burners; a few candles (some random ones, and usually a Catholic novena candle as well--currently St. Raymond); a tiny statue of the Buddha; my ceremonial dagger; my mala; some small bottles of essential oils; and a small altar plate. They're all items I use in my religious/magical practices. I'm considering setting up a second, smaller altar with Christmas coming to the Norse gods, since I think I'm going to go full-blown Odinist for Yule.

no not at all I do have a mantle peace and there is a pic of Jesus on it along with my children and friends but I would never consider it a alter

When I was a Wiccan I had an altar in my home. But, now being Agnostic other than the books I have on various religions I have nothing else remotely denoting any religion in my home.

i have altars in my home, hidden "shrines" if you will. the meaning of the items are too much to go into,,, except the one outside. that one is reserved for the virgin.

its called an ALTAR. and yes we have an altar, we have a Bible, a crucifix and thats all.nothing else can equal that.

I have a mantle, and I keep pictures of dead friends on it.
