I have to give a hair sample for my new job. I smoked pot just one time, about 3 - 3 1/2 months ago. Will it show up in my test?

i wouldn't think so. more than likely they will take hair that is close to the root, since it's the newest hair. i don't think you have anything to worry about.

No. It shouldn't unless you hang with a group of people that do smoke pot .. then you might be breathing just enough in anyways. The hair test can detect it to about 30 days ago. Good Luck! :)

When I took a hair follicle test (for personal reasons, paid for with my own money), the testing facility told me that in general it goes back 90 days.
It depends on certain factors, rate of growth, etc., but the average is 90 days, and you usually have no control over where they take the hair from... they don't allow you to "bring it in"... you go and they cut it from your head.
I think you'll be okay.

Yes, it will show up. You hair follicles retain the metabolite breakdown of THC, Crack/Cocaine, or any drugs you choose to do. They dont look for the THC, they look for the by-products that remain by the substance breaking down. Maybe you could work at McD's, I think they still just get the urine sample still!

No You dont have anything to worry about. As long as you werent around it after that. What job does a hair sample!?!?! Thats crazy.

I am sure it will, but call your local head shop and ask if they have a special shampoo. If your strapped on time bleach your hair or have highlites put in it.
If you shave everything they are just gonna pull from another spot on your body. So I would get the shampoo it around 30 bucks at my local head shop.

most likely not. drug tests usually only pick up 2 months. But, if it is your hair they are testing, i would use a piece close to your scalp. hair keeps many records in its length.

I have heard that hair holds traces of the drugs you have taken for years gone by. Where the hell you applying at....the CIA? I don't think I would wanna work for a place that is that anal about your life.
