I wouldn't add the tomatoes or any veggies if it were me. What you can do is add shredded cheese to the concoction and of course if you're baking it you're going to need to add extra liquid (I would use milk and perhaps 1/2 stick of real butter). Adding bread crumbs over the top sounds great! .

I would do the 3 boxes as regular then add cream, cheese, the tomatoes (drain) and some ham, bacon or cut up hot dogs, then put in a oven safe mold (butter up the bottom and sides) and top with the bread crumbs mixed with some parmesan cheese and melted butter or olive oil, bake at 325*/350* until golden brown and bubbly on top.

Slightly brown the breadcrumbs in butter.

Either mix it in or sprinkle on top.

And I'd add about a cup of grated cheddar on the top. Melt in the oven -10 minutes

USe the tomatos as a side dish.

Some of you people are adding everything but the sink! It's mac and cheese... not "clean out the fridge" and cheese.

I'd skip the tomatoes and put in frozen peas. Maybe a can of drained tuna, and top with either the bread crumbs OR french onions. I think the french onions would give it a great flavor!

Pork goes in mac and cheese well.

You can also add different kinds of cheese to thicken it up.

Here's a great recipe from AllRecipes:
