Yes, we eat from sunset to sunrise, anytime in between. But to be more specific, we break our fast after time for Maghrib prayer, which is the prayer performed at sunset. When the call for prayer is made we break our fast usually with some water and a date, then pray, then come to eat our full meal. The water and date is fairly gentle on a stomach that hasn't digested anything all day. It's better to eat this and pray before comming to our meal than digging in right away and getting a stomach ache. We finish eating and make our intentions to fast just before the early morning prayer called Fajr. Fajr marks the time to begin fasting. So anytime between the Maghrib prayer and the Fajr prayer we have our meals.

Hope that didn't confuse you! :-P

You got it wrong lol.

Islam is the religion. I think you meant to say "Muslims only." and
I'm not "muslim."

Its like saying I am not Christianity or Christianity only lol.

Yes its true we do eat after sundown. And yes we are supposed to stop eating before the sun rises. Note that the time depends on where you live though. But everyday or so, we stop eating at later times, and we start eating again (sundown) at earlier times. It is because in the fall the days start to get shorter. It may also have to do with day light savings, I'm not 100% though.

P.S. And Open-Minded you are everything but that. Go read the Quaran or Mohammad's biography before making such stupid assumptions. FYI, because of Mohammad, he said that males AND females must be treated equally with respect. The men in iislamic countries who treat women like dirt do it because they are reckless and or it may have have part to with the government. NOWHERE in the Quaran does it say that women should be treated as inferior beings!!!

Sundown to sunrise is the traditional period to start or stop religious observance in Judaism and Islam. In the case of either Ramadan or Yom Kippur, as well as the Jewish Sabbath the periods of fasting or observance are segmented by sunset and sunrise.

Very good question.
As opposed to Christianity (the name of the religion) where the follower is known as a Christian. In Islam a follower is known as a Moslem/Muslim.
The actual time of starting the fast and breaking it varies everyday according to the time of year.
