I have been relaxing my own hair about once every 3 months for the past 15 years. I remember the 1st times were very painful, the same thing happened to me (Trial & Error). It sounds like you left it on a little too long. Your scalp will be tender and hurt like hell if you put hair spray on. Give it about 48 hours and you will be back to normal. Next time use Revlon conditioning creme relaxer, the strength of that is more consistent as opposed to the ones that you mix together, those always end up being to strong. Put on gloves, then get Vasoline and put a thick layer on the skin adjacent to your hairline. With a fine tooth comb put a liberal about of creme on and brush it through combing in strait, keep adding until you feel like there is enough of it in your hair. leave on no more than 15 minutes to start off with. "I myself leave it on for about 20 but I've been doing it for a while" As far as going to a professional, that could be expensive habit to get into. As for as right now, like I said your matted and stuck to your scalp hair will get back to normal in about 48 hours, put vasoline on it for now to sooth the pain.

i have had this concern many years in the past and that i had scabs, and my hair develop into plastered to the spot. I did lose some hair even with the indisputable fact that it grew again. What I did develop into use aloe vera gel, no longer regualr hair gel because i do not position self assurance in using some thing damaging on my hair except a relaxer... immediately after tha scabbing I peeled all of it off and oiled my scalp with warmed olive oil and aloe. It helped it heal.

oh my you do have to use plenty of conditioner the good stuff who ever did it I hope you did not pay them, that's caused by leaving it in to long or you scratched before you got it in. just take it slow until your scalp is held or all your hair could come out. Keep oiled, and don't get another one for a while let this one grow out a Little ok , good luck also you can ask a hair sylist on what you can do.

My aunt had this problem and like the ladies above said, it's caused my the perm being in too long, or the perm it's self being too strong. I would say go to a professional, find the best. You wanna pay the extra dollars to get your hair back to healthy! You don't have to make it a two week routine, but you shouldn't be trying to fix it yourself. A professionals knows exactly what they're doing...they did go to school for it!
