It shows he is a bright child with an enquiring mind. Hold your cool and listen to him he most probably has some good answers.

By the way it sounds as if he is going to be the next Prime Minister. It would be good to have a politician who could give reason for their policies.

My daughter is 5 and she starts every sentence with "do you know what?" on the odd occassion she will say "excue me, do you know what?" that is friggin annoying! I blame the school. Good luck with your son.

Hey, maybe our kids will meet when they are older and they will be perfect for each other -
her "do you know what?"
him "because"
Perfect, no arguments would ever happen.

Because he doesn't know how to correctly structure a sentence, or maybe he just wants to drive you nuts...

Cos, like, he picked it up off his school friends, innit?
Sorry, but that's where he got it...it's a verbal tic like "you know" or "literally". Or ending every sentence with "right?"

He says it Because he can. Don't let him know that it bothers you. Try saying because right back at him. Maybe it will annoy him and he might stop.

It's just a habit, ask him why he always says because if he says because, say because why? and you might want to ask him to give you the definition of because, just because? get my drift?
