caffeine is a stimulant... a drug actually. But eh, it has absolutely no kilojules (energy) in it. While apples have about 60-75 calories in them. So the answer is apple provides the energy

I think they do. That's just my personal opinion. The energy seems to last a whole lot longer too. Caffeine seems to go away after a short period of time.

NOt really its the slight sugar in the apple that might give you a buff. It is maybe a healthier buff but not as long lasting as caffeine.

Caffine makes you hyper. Apples don't. I don't believe that caffine provides more energy. Apple=healthy. Caffine=unhealthy.

I just read on article on this (can't remember where) and they said that an apple will will energize you better than a cup of coffee and not leave you jittery.

Depends what you mean by "energy." Nervous system stimulation? No. Sustained carb energy? Probably.
