My older brother Matt( older by two years)seems to be in a very awkard relationship with his girlfriend. He's twenty-five years old,and still acts like a child!! He and his girlfriend literally beat each other up when their upset! They said it's healthy for their anger problems, and is good for relief of anxiety.Last week, she must have given him a good beating the night before he had to go to work because,he wasn't in work the next day.One of these days they are going to hurt each other to the extreme!I can't take it!
Nor can my mom,or my other siblings. My other sister who lives almost right next door to their appartment always hears shouting and screaming. He won't listen to my mom.My dad doesn't seem to care.I know it's non of my buisness but I can't see them going like this any longer!!! Any adivce please would be helpful!:)

Even worse, one of these days one of them could kill the other. Abuse is never in any way healthy. You obviously know this is if you are seeing their behavior as wrong. Unfortunately, if he will not listen to your Mom, he will probably not listen to you or your sister either. You can try both you and your sister talking to him about this, but it may do no good. You can try talking to he girlfriend, but it still may do no good. I am afraid your last resort may be having your sister call the cops next time they are fighting. Maybe seeing the legal repercussions of their actions might help stop this activity. They both need anger management, big time. Also, if he is the one taken to jail for domestic abuse, or if both are, do not bail him out! It may sound cruel, but you and your family need to make a stand against him to let him know that you do not condone these actions in any way! You can also check with your local abuse shelter to see if they have any ideas for you. Good luck.

It seems to me that they are not happy with each other. They may need some anger management classes. Your other sister needs to call 911, or something needs to be done before they end up killing each other. This is not a healthy relationship that they have.

I'd hate to say it, but it if works for them then they won't break up with eachother. They will only break up with each other if one of them truly wants out., THat can only be decided by the person and not a family member persuading him or her, because that will backfire and he/she will end up going back to the person.

My father became mentally and bodily abusive in direction of me throughout my teen elderly years. I left his domicile over 5 years in the past. I hardly see or refer to him now. On Thanksgiving Day, he stated as to assert that he enjoyed me and that he became extremely sorry for mistreating me. i became at a loss of words yet controlled to settle for his apology and tell him that I hardly think of roughly any of those issues from the previous. That became the main awkward verbal replace that I ever had with all of us!

Sounds like they need some serious help, anger management. I for one do not think it is healthy nor normal.

I don't know what to say. But if you feel like that, talk to your brother and his girl and tell them this has to stop and tell him they are putting eachothers' lives in danger.
