She has been seen by my vet and she stated everything was looking good and she hasn't observed any problems yet with her pregnancy. My main concern is that her being a min pin and that the father is a pug. I am worried about the size of the pups. will it be c-section or a natural birth.

Yeah she probably getting close to delivery. Hopefully by now she has already been shown her welping box. Good for you that you take your dog to the vet for pregnancy checkups. That shows you are a responible owner. just keep an eye out for her. Read up on delivery and welping if you havent already. just use yahoo and type in dog pregnancy and delivery and you should come up with alot of results. good luck and hope all your babies are born healthy.

Yes, that is common.

Have you been keeping up with her routine prenatal visits? We normally go over all of this....what to expect, what is normal, what is not normal....during those checkups.

Edit to reply to asker's additional info: Again, that is what is covered during routine prenatal visits. There are normally at least 3....1 per trimester, with the last one being scheduled for a few days before her due date. At that time, if there is any concern about whether or not the pups are too big to be delivered vaginally, a simple x-ray is done to compare the size of the pup's skulls to the width of the pelvic canal. That will let you know whether or not you are likely to need to prepare for a c-section....and if the pups skulls are obviously too big, your DVM will tell you the best time to schedule it. That's the visit where we also go over normal whelping procedures...what to do/what not to do, what is normal/what should cause concern, etc. If none of that has been done, and she's close to her due date, you need to schedule that appt. ASAP. Don't wait until she starts going into labor.

We had that with our girl and one of her pups was stillborn. According to the vet, the discharge might have been fluid from the sac of the stillborn puppy. The other pups in the litter were all strong and healthy and they are all thriving today.

Yes it's normal. You might want to show her to her whelping box now, in a quiet room, so she can nest and get comfortable in it.

Yes but wait until she starts to bleed and you find it on your floor or rug or somewhere else!
