i see through my shallow eyes
the broken bones of broken souls
and it pains me to see
the withering decay in your eye
i hope against hope
as shadows fall they fall through you
because you've come too far now
to falter at the finish line
this sacred pain
that you hold dear
does not define you
you're a bigger person
than we all ever knew
and if it takes a hundred years
for you to feel - then thats ok
it's your life always
we're only here - both sides of me
to offer you the subtle touch of empathy
i know not how
it pains to feel living that way
does it hurt like anger?
or an ulcer to your brain?
memories and misled ways
are fixed - unfixable - fixture and fact
tommorow drives them furthur away
we all need to remember that
we're not here to take bullets
we're here to help you through this
the only advice i have to give
is remember that you're not a slave to this

that once your hands untied and free
you can lay down in the mess of life

ive changed the last two verses slightly..... who knows which variation is better...but it relates to the situation more this way : )

Pretty deep and could have many different meanings. Its obvious that its about and event in a persons life that is close to you and could be put on a hall mark hope your feeling better card
