I used to drink a lot of fuzzy drinks when I was younger. But for like 10 years now, I rarely drink coke or other fuzzy drinks because I feel that they're unhealthy. I want to know how harmful these drinks really are. I'm thinking if I was a parent, I'd not let my kid drink fuzzy drinks before they reach a certain age, but I see lots of parents who give these drinks to their babies and young kids. I hear lots of stuff about these drinks being unhealthy and harmful. I want to know how serious this issue is.

Oh by the way, I have forgotten to add that "fuzzy" is not a typo. It's a joke between a friend and me and I like to call fizzy drinks fuzzy drinks.

Coke along with anything that is chemically derived is OK in moderation.
Coke is full of caffiene, sugar, etc.
If the average American stopped drinking Coke oand carbonated beverages they would each lose approx 15 pounds. it matters that much. Kids don't need the caffiene but a lot of parents are weak and don't monitor their kids intake they blame it on school food why johnny is 12 and 250. I put myself on my own diet and have lost 30 pounds in 2 months... It''s called the don't eat that crap diet, no books no exercise, 30 pounds.

Okay, when I was in high school, we all had a friend who did a science project, on soda's... What she did, was she placed a "Copper-penny" in a container with coca-cola, in it.. to see what would happen...One week later, the copper penny was completely dissolved! I kid you not!! She was so blown away by it, she did this same test in class, and the same results happened!!! Okay, as for kids,my daughter, every once in a blue-moon, would get soda's when she was oh around 7-8, at like a "Carnival" or "Family Reunions" I never liked my kids to drink or have "Junk-food" since they were very little! But, when my daughter would drink soda's... she would always be afraid to sleep alone, that night...She'd have a really hard time getting to sleep once I allowed her to crawl in bed with me.. And even have nightmares, on those "Rare-Occasions" when she did have soda's.. I just hated it, when she drank them... then they went and put a "Soda vending machine" in our Apt, complex.. which really upset me! And I could always tell when her friends would buy her a soda, because the same thing would happen, she'd get scared to sleep alone, and lie to me, that she hadn't been drinking soda's that day.. well she'd turn around the next morning and tell me, that her girlfriends had bought her one, and she was sorry for lieing to me!! So, there, you have it!! There just all around bad!! Not only do they dissolve a copper penny, and cause my daughter to have nightmares, but they eat your bones!! They eat the calcium, in our bones!! I kid you not!! They are just so bad for us!! I very seldom buy them! And usually when I do, its only 7-up, for upset stomaches, when my kids get sick.. For some reason the clear soda's dont do as much damage as the dark ones do!! My doctor highly recommends 7-up, and saltine crackers for my kids when they are sick with the stomache flu.. Otherwise, I wouldn't even buy any soda's!!!

first of all it has too much sugar and caffeine. Also for women, some ingredients in soda blocks calcium. So many women suffer from osteoporosis because of this . It's not bad to have once in a while, maybe once a week. Not everyday like many people do.

When I was in junior high, our science teacher asked someone who had a little sister or brother who lost a baby tooth to bring one in. We took a bottle of Coca Cola, put it in a beaker, and put in the tooth. In a couple of days, the tooth had completely dissolved.

Carbonated beverages make your bones weak by decalcifying them. You'll be more likely to break a bone.

Stick to drinking water.

Additionally, if you are drinking sweetened carbonated beverages, you are drinking excess sugars that could lead to diabetic conditions.
