Fried Onion are a popular snack food, made from Deep Frying Onions. They are usually assosiated with fast food.

Examples Include:

* Blooming onions
* Onion rings

Open Sourcing is what I think of.
The only other thing I can think of would be the brand name of the Onion. I have a group of folks I have been asking here at the American Royal In KC and no one has heard of that as a type of onion. And man do we have lots of onions around here!
