answer? I do, most of the time. However, how do you feel when a non-Christian that has a history of mocking Jesus, asks a question? And are we (Christians) to ignore the obvious attempt at slander, simply because somebody was trying to be clever like a fox, and mislead the audience? I'm going to re-evaluate my approach on this. I might change it, I might not. Enlightenment will prove true.

William R - I think you misunderstood the question or misread it. I have never 'calmed' or 'claimed' Satan as my father!!!!

Live4Truth - I agree whole-heartedly. And I do believe that we are to straighten -out misconceptions. Which is exactly the same as showing the way to the TRUTH.

Journey - There's an obvious contradiction in your response. So I will need to ask you to clarify. How can you claim to be a non-believer and claim to know how Jesus would respond? If you know HIM then you are a believer, otherwise you do not know HIM. And I invite you to get to know HIM. Or if there is something that's preventing you from believing, then please do tell.

Immappam - I read your entire response, 3 times. Did you read the question even once? After reading your response, I had to go back to my own question 3 times to try and figure out what you are referring to. After studying it, it appears you wanted to only bloviate. Is this right or am I missing your point?

I just hope for the best when it comes to those who mock Christianity. I still answer them as though I think that they're actually searching for answers, although I might keep the answer short, and then invite them to contact me if they have more questions.
MOST of the time, even when they're mocking us, they are still looking for answers. They may not choose any one of us as BA, but if they even glance through our answers, maybe it will lead them to ask more questions.
I prefer to hope that all of their hearts are still open, and there's a chance that if we use logic, and science to speak to them it may help them.
My only issue with some Christians on this site is that they tend to only quote scripture, and tell the person asking the question to "get saved." I've even had some Christians do that to ME.
When someone is mocking us, I just feel compassion for them. I was like them at one point...thankfully in my case, I had many people praying for me, and I never gave up searching for God, and for TRUTH.
Fact is, we can answer their questions all we want, but we can't save them. THEY have to make that choice. We should keep them in our prayers.

What self righteous crap. Everyone has a right to their own belief. It is personal, your belief is your personal relationship to god not to an institution, a religious doctrine or a like minded group of ppl. If you want to preach for yourself, go ahead but don't think that you are the only one with a belief. We may differ in opinions, beliefs and traditions but we are still within the human family and should be treated with more respect than you Christians are delivering. Your belief is not unknown to the rest, and it is because the Christian believe is to be one of compassion and love that you are criticized and taunted. For the most part, the Christians on this site show hatred and contempt for anyone who doesn't believe as they do. Do you make sure the barber you go to is a Christian? Do you make sure that the grocery store you buy your food from is Christian and that the products they carry come from the same? Since you have the option to do so, do your children only go to Christian schools? Was your car manufactured by a Christian? The list goes on. If any of those answers are no then you are either a hypocrite for using those services, or you use your Christianity only when it is convenient.

Sometimes. It depends on the question.
Some questions, although I may believe the asker is seeking opportunity to defame the Lord or Christianity or a denomination, I also recognize may be a question that someone who IS seeking after God may open to read the responses. In those cases, as the Spirit leads, I will answer for the sake of the readers, not the questioner.

No matter what we may think, when we speak God's Word in love, it will not return void.

Well as a non-believer myself, I think that often your answers are not the answers Christ would give. Also, if someone is just being stupid...no one should answer. It is most likely kids just trying to stir up trouble. However, if an unbeliever is truly mocking your faith or in some way trying to mis-lead someone then isn't it your duty to respond kindly...no matter what religion you are. I see lots of christians being misleading about other faiths too. Walk your talk and we'll have no problems.

Anyone that mocks Jesus or God in front of me will hear from me. They have hated what is good and sided with Satan and I will have no dealings with them. They who have hated wisdom have chosen ignorance, stupidity, and foolishness, and that is why everything they do eventually crumbles to the ground. They are controlled by Satan's demons and don't even have a clue......KECK

with me it all depends on who is asking it as well as how politely they ask it. I look into their previous Q&A if I'm not familiar with them. Some I blow off without any answer. Some I give scripture, some I express acceptance and love and others I lightheatedly joke back with. On the most part - any Word to get in them that's not condemnation is good. Most are hurt and just lost.

I feel that if we are sensitive to God, He will reveal how to handle it.

I don't know. When I've asked questions about Christianity, I've been looking for an answer. And honestly, the things I've picked as best answer are often things that I don't believe at all...but they answered the question, and in the best and most logical way possible. (Really, I don't care about it agreeing with my views; I care about it making sense.)

You also need to be open minded. Sometimes people change and really want to know.
God also uses his enemies to bring out the truth. He can make you do that which you aren't aware of, if it suits his work at the time.

Many times even the mocking questions have an element of searching in them. So remember you represent Christ.

*When you answer a person through the filter of the word of GOD, any nonsense should be left out.
You,I others have an awesome responsibility to share our faith with others. That is, guide them to the map.
The word of God, that which is perfect and holy.
*If we can answer others through the fruit of the Spirit, than God will be pleased. -LIVE4TRUTH=] GODBLESS.
