Woman was made as a compliment for man.
God created the female of humankind using one of Adam’s ribs as a base. (Genesis 2:18-25) With the creation of the woman, man was complete as a “kind.”—Genesis 5:1, 2.
It's how the bible says it is - man first

So back to the old chicken or the egg theory. I think that it could be argued effectively either way depending on one important point. This important point is your belief in either creation or evolution of the species. That would be the starting point of the whole man vs woman origins. Without that as a given in your discussion you could not effectively present any detailed hypothesis because there would be the dogma of scripture to contend with on an evolutionary discussion.
Pick a side and start from there with the question.

Man was created first to be the head of the home, to be the provider. Woman was created to be his helpmeet. A woman completes a man. We are to be the home makers, and to raise the kids. I know in todays time woman have to work too, but for some the only reason they are is cause they have made lots of debt. God didnt create woman first and no it wouldn't make sense.

Since I prefer to depend on the side with evidence, I think we'll never know because humans evolved into what they are today and carbon dating just doesn't get it so exact that we can tell which ones came first in a span of a few years, I don't believe.
In any case, who the **** cares? Is it of any consequence whether a woman or a man came first?

No, males are the rough draft and here is my evidence.....they can not multi task, their tender parts are on the outside, they aren't as aerodynamic, they don't communicate as well and they don't have the emotional programming necessary to function well. Women are the finished product.

yes, as whatever being was there was a reproductive sentient being, which can be more termed as a female than a male, as otherwise we cannot perceive a procreation.
