The reason that you are not losing more weight, is that you have replaced some fat with lean muscle mass. That is tremendous. Don't be discouraged and give up. Muscle is better than fat- be proud of what you have accomplished.

It's hard for you to hear this, but don't worry about the weight. When you begin eating right and exercising you will build muscle. Often because you are building muscle you might see some slight weight gains. That's good news! .... now you say why is that good news? Because each gram of muscle you gain burns 80cals/gram more than no muscle so gaining muscle equals burning more fat. Be patient ...keep exercising and eating right and you WILL burn the pounds.. Usually there can be 3 or 4 weeks before you will see weight changes corresponding to exercise. The good thing because... it’s true that the more muscle you have, the more calories your body burns at rest each day. So... if you keep the diet steady then you will burn more calories each day while resting because the muscle needs more energy.

First of all, congrats on tryin to be healthy!!! If you have been exercising and not just starving yourself, then you are probably building muscle. One pound of muscle is much smaller then one pound of fat. So you can loose 5 lbs. of fat, but your weight will stay the same because you also gained muscle, yet you'll still lose inches (its like more compact).

You are doing great! Muscle weighs more than fat, so what you are doing is excellent! Don't worry too much about that scale. As long as you are eating the correct portions of good foods, you're gonna get there! Good luck!

Did you not just say that youy lost ten pounds? I'm confused. In any case, you shouldn't focus on losing pounds, because you could be developing muscle that adds to your weight. Focus on inches lost (this is what other people notice anyways). Keep at it!
