I am around a group of people alot and all they talk about is the world is coming to an end! How many of you believe that it will be soon-i have done some research and i keep running into the year 2012,for things to happen-whats your thoughts here?

No one knows when the world will end. There is many things to happen before that does. Rapture, Tribulation, satan bound for a 1000 years. Thats just to name a few things. There is even wars added in there some where. The tribulation will last 7 years. So in your guess your wrong.

Well, the Mayan calendar agrees with you. As an atheist, I believe that the world AS WE KNOW IT may end..... but not in it's entirety and not due to some supreme beings wrath/prophecy. The environmental impacts we have made upon the earth are going to have severe consequences. The ppl trying to bring about WW3 will further that along. The economy can't handle much more and the population needs to be thinned out. I believe that we are in for cataclysmic shifts, but mankind will survive and start the whole bloody process over again, as we have before. I'm not a prophet, but I do have common sense. It isn't that hard to look at the past and into the future to see that we are bent on destruction.

The year 2012 is the end of the Mayan calendar. Many of the signs of the end given in the Bible seem to be falling into place. The Illuminati, who presently run this world, seem to be pushing toward their New World Order, the kingdom of the Antichrist. Ultimately, all things are in the hands of the Almighty, but it definitely does look like ancient prophecies about the end of life as we know it on earth are now being fulfilled.

The End of the World has been Misinterperted.
This Earth and its Peoples are going to be Around for a Long Time.
Yes, there will be Tribulation as was never befor Know on this Earth, and soon. Wars. There will be Destruction. BUT the Earth is not comning to an End with Everybody dying.
The End of the World is the End of Satan trying to Rule and Reign as GOD Almighty over the Peoples of the Earth.
Jesus is comning back to LOCK satan and his cohorts (Angels) UP.
That is the End of the World.
The World System being Influenced by Satan for killing, stealing and Destroying. It is about over for Satan (for a While, 1000 Years) then there will be Peace on the Earth. Thank you Jesus.

Chill son. The sun is scheduled to go supernova in a couple billion years or so and that is probably all the time we have. If we **** it up with nuclear weapons we could go earlier, but we can all try to avoid that.
I bet you're in America. Get your head out of these books of "prophecy" and enjoy the nice fall day. Do something nice for yourself and then do something nice for somebody else. That will be better for you and the world than getting your underwear in a wad about when it will end.

Yes, I believe it will end. Are you doing Christian research? Or some other study? No man knoweth the day nor the hour, the Bible says. So the year 2012 is likely wrong. Then again if no one knows, it could be in that year...but it could be at any other time too.

Yes, it will end. But not in the way you might think. Nothing happens overnight...it is a process of time. And if we check into our world, we are seeing the changes already that will herald a bigger change as the world consciousness rises. The change in place right now is the dying of the material focus and in its place a more spiritual approach.

but i do not feel this means the world is coming to an end
symbolically death means change and this i feel is what is meant
i have read old spirit teachings that speak of a major shift in spiritual beliefs and that for some this would mean an end ... but it is supposed to be a new begining and something to look forward to xx

The world isn't coming to an end. What will end is the dark religions from the mid-east's hold over others, robbing humans of their capability of free thinking.
