Islam advice woman to protect their aurat, doesnt necessarily by wearing a niqab.
My wife an asian, wearing loose cloth and cover her hair.She doesnt wear a niqab, neither do most woman in my country, which is in asia.

Niqab is a political torture item for muslim women. Wahabites (House of Saud) have imposed it first. Try now to get rid of it. It has become a symbol of slavery and of political and religious non tolerance.
