since most chefs say that you are suppost to only thaw chicken in the fridge and that takes at least 2 days from soild frozen state,, I would say at least 3 days. I would take it out of the store packaging rinse it and then put in a zip lock or sealed container. If you are going to marinate it I would do it then also ,, a good marinate is usually a 24 hour period also.

So my final opinion is 3 days if completely thawed out.

All you people are nervous Nellies. As long as your fridge is cold and the chicken is wrapped, it's good
for at least 5 days. You're going to cook it anyway! If it has an odor to it, of course it's started to turn.
You're not eating the chicken raw! You're cooking it!

After one day in the refrigerator if your not going to cook it sprinkle some salt on it and put it in the freezer make sure you wrap it up. If you leave it for two day believe me you will get a stomach ache

Personally, I wouldn't go longer than 3 days. After that bacteria starts to grow, and having salmonella isn't pretty.

I'm really squicky about my chicken handling. Hopefully you're keeping it on the bottom shelf.

it will probably only last about a day in the refrigerator . . . you should put it in the freezer if you don't plan to cook it right away . . .

Not more than a few days, especially if it's opened - just smell it and if it smells bad throw it away.
