Do not hurry with new friendships. Belive me I know what it is being alone. I am in the completely different country for 2 years and haven't got any proper friends besides 1 really. So, just give it some time. Yes, talking to people is good, just don't follow them around and do not expect people like you a lot and be your friends after first conversation. I made my friend here only after a whole year and a half, as we just started talking once, than again and now we like very close. So, it takes a bit of time and you need to have patience.
Be yourself and talk to people, don't be like into yourself. But don't just follow people around. Someone out there will find you interesting person, the best thing is to find the people who have same interests as you, after that they well might become your friends.
Good luck! And don't worry everything will come, it just needs a bit of time.
Wolfy.

They might feel anxiety or pressure from you, because you're trying to force the issue. I sense
that your a teen and you worry too much! Just
try to relax and be yourself. Don't come on too strong. Have a great personality and a sense of humor and take it easy. If people are comfortable around you, everything will change.
Don't forget the hormones are working overtime
and a lot of teens are thinking about themselves
and their own problems! Good luck.

It will take some time and they will have to see you know you a bit more. Its not that you are unfriendly but because they have to trust you to open up to you.
So don't worry. Remember, its hard to get a good friend and once you get one, its hard to lose them.
Everyone in this world has a friend and you will get yours.
Good Luck and just keep trying, its normal, everyone has that problem

Maybe you're intimidating. Try smiling more and look people directly in their eyes when you talk to them. Your body posture says a lot also. Lean your body towards their direction and try to comment on most things that they say ~ that let's people know that you are listening.
