I am an older woman. My hair is very fine, but is is still dark brown. I am a wash and go type person. I don't like spending a lot of time on my hair, but I don't want it to look like I'm trying to be younger than I am.

My wife will be..OW! Stop whacking my head!. Sorry about that, she is age sensitive. I have a "mature " wife that looks great in her short, sexy-messy hair style. It takes her all of about 5 minute to spritz and run her fingers through in the morning and a slight application of Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine and Redkin 5th Avenue Rewind and she is good for the whole day and night.

If your hair is fine, it may make your scalp show through in places. That would not be flattering. Check with your hairdresser and look through some style books at the salon. They're frequently catagorized by age, hair texture, etc.

Sounds like a style which could work for you: maybe your hairdresser could work out something flattering as well as functional. Darker hair gives the impression of thickness, so you've already got a good colour going. Hope it looks great!

Depends on the shape of your face. Round faced people look worse with this type of hair cut. Skinny faced people look better.

Also, if your hair is at all thin, don't do it.

The look works best for people who are more avante garde, meaning if you act young you are more likely to get away with it.

Just based on the fact that you would suggested it, i would say yes. i am a hairdresser and I am tired of older women looking like they need a perm and a set. it is easy and fun. I think it would be fantastic!

I would say ask the local beautician for advise on this one they would be able to give you a good answer that you can live with they would examine your hair and body/ face shape and give you advise. Hope this helps.

You'd look fantastic. I've seen plenty of older women who looked mature and wiser with it.
