Either get rid of them and get new friends. Or make them understand how you feel about him and let them decide if they still want to be friends with you.

I don't really see what your mates have to do with it, Your mates are entitled to their opinion and you may have 1 real mate who you could rely on and who could give you an honest opinion. In the end it's down to you. Looks are only skin deep, it's what is inside that matters. You and only you alone can decide how you feel. Express your concern to your so called friends, it may help in making them aware, that you mean business about your feelings for your guy, It could also make your friends less forgiving or even break of your relationship with them. If that happens, then your friends were not friends in the first place.
If everyone had to listen to other peoples opinion when it came to members of the other sex then we would all be single, we all have our own ideas of that perfect partner.
Good Luck!

tell you don't care what he looks like to other people and that he is beautiful person and makes you happy, that you appreciate it if they wouldn't always rag on him every time that you are together. Tell them that that is not going to make you two break up, so forget it and let's get on to another conversation. Maybe they see what a nice person he is and how you get along and they want the same thing, always watch out for so called friends who talk about a boyfriend or girlfriend, there is some jelousy there for some reason.

I know you don't want to hear this but there is probably something to what they are saying. When you think you are in love you can be blind to what that person is really about. It may take years to realize it. They might just be trying to spare you some hurt down the road. This has happened to me and my friends and family actually turned out to be right. I was very sorry that I did not listen to them.

Maybe they are jealous of you going out with him and constantly pick on him to get you to ditch him. Either that or you are one of these people that are easy to wind up and they realise this. Whichever it is don't take any notice of them. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that is proved by countless glamorous film stars that are married to ugly other half's.

You should stop talking to him, your friends are looking out for you. They know you best and maybe you're embarassing them b/c he's ugly and very unpopular. Its time for you to make a decision, stay with your ugly boyfriend and lose your click or break up with him and find a new toy.

Find out the real reason your friend dont like him ? Maybe they are jealous that he has you attention and they miss you or they are just plain jelous that your happy. Girls can be very petty. If they are looking out for you because he dosnt treat you right then, they truley are your friends. If he is good to you and you like him stay with him. If they are truley your friends they will be happy for you.

if i were you i'd think about dumping my mates, not your boyfriend!
they're either jealous that you're in a relationship, or worse still they're incredibly shallow.
true friends will want you to be happy and wont slate your boyfriend if he's good to you and makes you happy, looks shouldnt come into it
if he's treating you badly thats a different story, but they're being complete bitches if they can only fault his looks

If they are only making fun of shallow things about him, don't worry about it and try to ignore them (easier said than done, I know). However, if they start seriously saying that they are suspicious of something he did, or there is a genuine problem, listen to them. Most of all, use your judgement.

It's not what a person looks like it's what's inside that counts and if u really like him then just go for it, perhaps their jealous.
