You need to do pushups and situps, and lots of cardio. I know it sounds boring, but if you really want it gone, that's what you have to do. Everything else is a fad that won't lead to a lasting solution. And for the cardio, I highly recommend swimming the breast stroke.

I managed a gym in CA for a few years. I can tell you several truths that will help.

Buring fat is done by exercising. It doesn't matter if you walk, run, swim, DANCE, or do an expensive machine...raise your heartbeat. Lose weight because you are burning calories and fat.

Second, there is no way...NO WAY...to burn fat more in one area. If you do any exercise, your body will determine where it takes it off.

Third, if you want to TONE the muscle under that fat, like FIRM your butt or your arms or your tummy, so it's less jiggly, then work that area more. But no matter what they come out with on the market, the old at home stuff is just as good. Not much better for tightening the abs than sit ups. Need more? Hold a heavy book while doing them. Need to tone your legs? Do leg lifts. Need more? Then dont put them all the way down between lifts, just to a few inches off the floor, raise again. Good luck, this WORKS.

If there is fat over the muscle, it will still be fat. More fat in some cases. So tone slowly, raise your heartbeat every day for 20 minutes.

Lastly, eat less fat. Put less fat in, less fat to take out. Make things easy on yourself and stop eating what fat folks eat: chips, soda, candy, fast food.

the only weigh to reduce body fat is to lose weight all over.....i.e. you cannot spot reduce. exercises (such as sit-ups, push-ups, etc.) will help build muscle to burn calories and tighten your over all apperance, but wont get rid of all the fat
