Did you know the "church" used to say that the solar system was geocentric, and based it on the Bible.

I used to ask questions about this on yahoo answers, you know why, cause I was confused by those verses.

Someone, bless her Christian heart, said Sean, those passages are misinterpreted, the verses refer to the Earth being the center of God's universe, and not the center of the physical solar system.

Now, is it ok for me to ask questions, as I did on that topic, probably 50 times, looking for an answer that made sense.

Is it ok if I ask about the word abomination 50 times, trying to make sense of it, because its used in Lev 18:22 to talk about gay sex, and again in Lev 11:9-12 about shrimp. Is it ok if I try and understand the use of the word, why GOd thinks shrimp is as bad as gay sex?

You structured your questions in such a way that the answer will be "Yes, its ok to ask".

Other than that, we dont see if you're trying to ask about

1) the word's definition, which you already have been told of the meaning, or
2) the shrimp or gay sex, which you also already have the answer,
thanks to your multiple repeated questions.

Question for you: who told u the earth was flat ? Bible reference? otherwise dont just say it off like that.

Extra:
Christopher Columbus decided to Sail around the World cause he Read in the Bible that GOD put a Compass on the Face of the Deep(ocean) a Compass is ROUND.

GOD said that HE put all the Stars and Planets out there for US, cause HE Loves us that much. Earth is in the Center of the Universe.

Lobsters are considered the garbage digesters of the Ocean (compared to a cockroach too).

Meant to Study that word Abomination Years ago, but got Side-Tracked.

As far as I'm concerned ....ask anything as many times as you wish.
However, when someone makes a valid point, accept it even if you don't like it.
May I humbly suggest (if you have not done so already) to have a variety of Bible translations. The CEV, NIV and NEB are excellent.
Too many people think the only Bible is the King James Version.
Its just a translation like the others and a variety is best for clear understanding.
BTW when you say "church" you must mean the Roman Catholic Church.
Please don't blame other religious people for that organization's blunders.

It's more like the church leaders insisted that the world is flat, not the church or the bible itself.

Back then the church leaders were mixing power politics with religion & manipulated the bible for their own ends. In fact, nowhere in the bible is the statement about earth's shape is found.

As for gay sex & shrimps - it's in the old Testament where seafood other than fish are considered unclean, a stigma that was taken away in the new Testament.

Um an abomination is like an unforgivable sin much like treason.... But when Christ died he took away all our sins and made us clean as long as we turn away from those old ways.
One thing to remember when you read the Bible is that we are under the new covident all you have to do is repent and turn from your old ways, beleive in Christ and your pretty much good to go. Um as far as the shrimp that was part of the old covident with Moses at mount Sini and the Ten Comandments. But God sent his only Son to die in our place because under the old testament law the wages of sin was death. So if you broke any of the laws under the old covident you were instantly put to death no questions asked. And that why we are under the new covident but if you follow the laws of the old testament you have a " Go straight to Heaven pass" but it a hard walk to follow. And the shrimp we are created in the image of God so He knows what our bodies were designed to consume shrimp, swine and things of that nature were considered unclean because they eat anything and you dont want to consume something that consume anything. Thats why people have health issues because of their diets what they put into their bodies.

I believe that morita senpai has a big part of your question right! (it is all in how you ask (structure) the question!)

Who did tell you the earth was flat, anyway?
Misinterpreted!! God can say something to me that I don't understand? And Can't Learn? That's mysterious.!

Now to your question:
My Comments/answer and
I'll be straight about it, I like shrimp,
don't you?

I hope you keep asking. I'm still confused about what things get discarded because of the "new covenant", and which are still in effect. I've seen the question 1000 times, but haven't seen an answer that makes sense to me yet. =)

If you think that the truth can be arrived by multiple sampling (through multiple questions) then so be it. Its your life, time and profile anyways.
