Tip No 1. Don't use it. I never do because the smell makes me sick. However if you must use it you can add fresh parsley to the recipe and that will help. Garlic breath is caused by the garlic forming sulphur salts in your blood when it digests, When the blood passes through the lungs to be oxygenated the sulphur gases are released. (Same ingredients as in farts by the way). Another tip is to chew aniseed seeds which you can get from any health store. This is a bit tricky as the seeds get all over your mouth but it's s trick an Indian friend showed me as i asked him how come Indians and Pakistanis eat so much garlic but it's not on their breath.

I've tried eating a few sprigs of fresh parsley as soon as possible after eating garlic and I feel it has probably made a difference - maybe not taken it away altogether but helped tone it down some. (Parsley also tastes nice and is supposed to be good for your digestion.)
However, it's pretty hard for me to tell how effective it has been because I can hardly go to my boss or my customers and say, has my breath smelled of garlic today! And my husband won't know because we both eat it and therefore can't smell it on each other.....
I think it's worth trying, though - good luck!

Eat some of the parsley that comes with the dish. If it doesn't come with it, request it. Parsley can freshen garlic breath. Minted water is good too. Think Mojito without the booze.

I've heard that if you eat garlic regularly it won't smell half as bad or long. Go figure. But of course, cooked garlic is not as bad as raw.
Not much you can do besides the obvious mints and mouth wash.

you can eat some fresh parsley to help right away also once the food containing garlic has passed from your stomach it no longer affects your breath although then you might have problems elsewhere lol.

Chew a few leaves of parsley. Before my husband and I got married he called me for a date. I had eaten very garlicky pizza earlier in the day. I went to the grocery and bought some fresh parsley. At home I washed the leaves and chewed a few sprigs. It really helped. Good luck!
