Thank you for your question and interest to know about the Imams of muslims. There are misunderstanding and confusion in your mind about the word, imam. It is NOT equal to scholar. Imam's job is to lead prayer and reply to simple questions from the worshipers in relation to regular religious issues. So, accordingly his priority education should be QURAN AND OTHER iSLAMIC ISSUES. ON THE OTHER HAND, A SCHOLAR (SOME PEOPLE CALL HIM MUFTI) IS A PERSON WHO GIVEs opinion, advice and lead the people in various aspects of life and those people indeed are knowledgeable of most aspects of human and social sciences. If you listen to them, they are really worthy of respect even by non-muslims. The problem comes when imams start doing the job of a scholar so he definitely will give wrong opinion sometimes. There are a lot of efficient scholars but they are prosecute by the dictators in middle east (remember that all of the dictators are good friends of G W Bush) then imams take the job that they are not well qualified for.

and so it goes it to those rabbis and preists too, doesnt it?. also is it applied to those people who live in today's educated, civilised societies and religions and still do fornication and child exploitation?. and does it apply to those religions where they beleive in caste system?.

also i have seen more inhumaneness when there were presists who would burn women along with their dead husbands. and also those preists who never allowed even a single woman to give sermon or call for prayer in more than 2000 years. and what about today?

or is it selective criticism?. and are u being humane when u urself are back-biting about someone dont know or havent met?. i mean can u name the religion which allows this sort of humane behaviour of slandering?.

You are either cleverly disguising your bigotry or you have had a negative experience with someone who claims to be a muslim scholar, which is it?.
