I would start with a good shaping, leaving most of the length, trim about 2 inches or so, then cut in layers, longer layers in the back, and shorter layers around the face. See a good stylist and she can suggest which way to cut it, sounds too like u may need some texturizing with a razor, this helps to take the thickness out and can help get the natural wave to work with ur style.

A little past your shoulders would look nice. If you don't like to work with your hair much I wouldn't do to many layers with your hair being kind of wavy. If you are willing to curl just the ends a bit it would look very nice with some layers. Very sexy.

Cut some length off and cut in long layers, this way you take some of the thickness out of it and still have the length!

Have it thinned out in layers and look in good books at the hairdresser to find what is appealing to you,then ask the professional to give you advise.Not just us here.

if u want it straighter use pantene shampoo with the green rim, it really helps straighten. i have the same kind of hair--try cutting it in layers and c how that is.

i would just get it trimmed up and then to make it unique do different stuff to it like is in a pony tail curl it etc.
