There are programs, some freeware, that will run a scan on your hard drive and are made to get folders or files back that were deleted. They are still there but are given an extention that makes it take up very little space.
Try CNET downloads to search for a program that you need.

Check your Recycle Bin for the folder. If you have not emptied it the folder is prbably still there and you can restore the entire folder.

if it's in the recycle bin, then yes, you can restore it back. if it's not, then, then you would have to use a program (such as tuneup) to get the folder back. but if the computer has been formated then it's not possible to get it back.
