Would it be slightly bitter or saccharine sweet?

I suppose Love would be like a cup of coffee. You desperately need it first thing in the morning. You take that first sip and suddenly all seems ok. It may taste bitter at times, but potentially can be the sweetest drink of all. So many things can be added to make this beverage the best drinking experience ever. Just like it takes so many ingredients to make love come together as well. It can come in many forms........flavors......and consistencies. It might look dark and bleak at times.........but lighten up as the sweet cream is added. The froth and fluff might hide the truths, but deep beneath.......the true taste pervails.

Yep......Love would taste like coffee. You just have to make it what you need it to be. It's all a matter of preference! As for me? I would make it sweet with a taste of mocha. I like diversity.......:)

(cool question!)

I think if Love were food, it would taste like the thing we love the most, I guess the food we love the most? Mine would probably taste like Pizza, but everyone is a bit different. As for if it would taste like sacchrarine or sweet like sugar, I guess that depends on if the LOVE is REAL. If it is fake, it would probably taste like a sugar substitute. If Love is real, it would probably taste like natural sugar.

I really like mng's response, how do I top that? Anyway, if we're talking about romantic love I'd break it down like this:
Nose: Smoky. Floral. Sea Air.
Palate: Perfumy start. Flowering. Intoxicating.
Finish: All flavors intensify. Smooth. Dark and complex.

Neither,it would be very sensuous and EVERY taste bud would be activated and in tune with one another(a beautiful symphony). The first bite would totally envelop your mind, body and soul and the taste would linger on your tongue, long after it was consumed and surprisingly you'd be satisfied(not craving for more) because its love.

It would be like a big serving of your favorite comfort food.

Love is a big, creamy, homemade bowl of macaroni and cheese because it fills you up and makes you all warm inside. =)
